A new online register of criminals has come up with a George William Smith convicted of Larceny and Receiving. He went to jail for 6 months.
If this was indeed our George William, Ella Elizabeth's father, then it adds to the accomplishment of Ella Elizabeth, who, as an orphaned young girl, brought up her two younger brothers, all three siblings avoiding their father's footsteps and building successful families. Read more here.
